Nursing a bad cold at home had its merits, but I was glad I still went to iBlog: the 6th Philippine Blogging Summit last Friday, April 16 at my dearly beloved UP. Aside from the thrills of having footlong with coleslaw beside UP Libe again after 2 years (and getting a kickass black iBlog shirt), I was able to get valuable insights from an eloquent bunch of people: resource speakers, bloggers, and the random naysayer (lol) inside the Malcolm Theater.
I can’t really consider myself a seasoned blogger – I keep an e-journal not really for the wonders of SEO, but for my illusions of posterity. With a ball of tissue paper in one hand and a pen for note-taking in the other, I was able to get through the 8-hour session without being kicked out for spreading the cold virus. I especially loved the part about SEO writing and measuring blog buzz.
I didn’t get better for the next three days; I spent the weekend bedridden and called in sick again for work today. But I learned a handful, and I guess that was a pretty good deal. How about a new niche blog to commemorate my initiation into “conscious” blogging?
